Garlock food grade packing materials provide exceptional product integrity and conform to FDA and USDA standards. They are known for their strong resistance to chemicals and low friction.

Chemical resistant and non-toxic PTFE filament

Style 5904 is made from high purity PTFE filament lubricated with mineral oil - both of which conform to USDA and FDA standards. It is also highly resistant to chemicals and suitable for use in caustic service. Style 5904 is recommended for use in rotary food processing equipment such as pumps, dryers, blenders, mixers, and cookers, as well as acidic mining pumps.

Compression Packing Pump Sealing System

The Garlock CROWN BUSH® pump sealing system is a hydrodynamic flush control device that reduces gland water consumption by 50-80%. A typical process pump flushed at 30 liters per minute uses 16 million liters of water per year. The Garlock CROWN BUSH® pump sealing system would save up to 11.8 million liters of water per year on one such pump alone.

Garlock FLUSH-GARD® non-metallic bushings reduce water consumption and increase savings. The FLUSH-GARD® seal reduces water consumption by up to 90% and protects from media attacks, extending equipment life, and decreasing replacement costs.
